Name | Description |
Horizontal Punch | Punch straight out with fist. Palm is down with back of hand up. |
Vertical Punch | Fist turned out 90 degrees with thumb side up. |
Uppercut | Punch upward with palm facing you. |
Hammerfist | This strike can be done forward/downward, inward, or outward. You are striking with the bottom of your fist. (AKA Hammer Strike) |
Rear Hammerfist | Rear downward strike behind you hammering opponents groin with the bottom of your fist. |
Inverted Hammerfist | Swing fist (circular) in towards you, down and away from you, striking at groin level with the bottom of your fist. |
Knife Hand Inward
| Knife hand striking on side of attackers neck, palm up, arm bent coming from outside the body. (AKA hand sword) |
Knife Hand Outward | Knife hand striking on right of attackers neck, palm down arm bent coming from across the body. (AKA hand sword) |
Inward Elbow | Striking from outside to inside. |
Upward Elbow | With fist near ear, drive elbow upward. |
Oblique Elbow | Raise arm up then drive elbow down at angle into opponent while making fist with hand. |
Rear Elbow | Rear strike back behind body. |
Outward Elbow | With the arm from the inside position or opposite side, strike outward with elbow returning arm to normal side. |
Hooking Punch | Similar to a regular punch, but punch hooks from outside to inside striking opponent |
Palm Strike | Thrust arm forward striking with heel of palm. |
| Finger thrust | Hand with fingers together slightly bent. Straight thrust to eyes, throat, soft tissue. Done horizontal or vertical. |
Ridge Hand | Swing arm from outside body to inside body, hand flat and palm down, striking with side of thumb and forefinger. |
Back Knuckle (Back Fist) | With hand in fist, excecute outward strike with back of hand. |
